Product Details

This section contains the bulk of an products's properties.

Brand Name: This field is imported from your inventory system. Brand names can be edited on the Manage Brands Page. Changes made in Run Free will not affect your inventory system.

Color: This field is imported from your inventory system and but is editable on the Run Free platform. Changes made in Run Free will not affect your inventory system.

Product Name:  While the field is imported initially from your inventory system, it is fully customizable in the platform. Run Free DOES NOT push changes you make to this field back to your inventory system, so you don't have to worry about breaking something. It's particularly useful when grouping associated SKUs together. (Also known as the 'Short Desciption' in RICS)

PRO TIP: Items will be automatically grouped with a "more options" badge in your storefront if the item name is identical, which makes this feature powerful for grouping items like the same shoe model in multiple colors. For example, let's say you have 10 SKUs, 5 of which are different colors of men's Fresh Foam 1080v10, and 5 of which are different colors of women's Fresh Foam 1080v10. If you set the item name for all 5 men's SKUs to "Men's Fresh Foam 1080v10" and the item name for all 5 women's SKUs to "Women's Fresh Foam 1080v10", your customers will see two options for Fresh Foam 1080v10: a men's and a women's, where each will contain all SKUs with the same item name as "more options". Even better, you can set item names in bulk using the bulk edit feature.

Price: While the value in this field is imported initially from your inventory system, it is fully customizable in the platform. If the "auto-update price" toggle is on, the price will be kept in sync with your inventory system. If you toggle it off, you can manually change the price in the Run Free platform. Run Free DOES NOT push changes you make to this field back to your inventory system.

Shipping Template: Use this drop-down to select the shipping template (Size, Weight, and optional Cost) for this item. Learn more about Managing Shipping Templates.

Operation History Log: Tapping the small doc folder icon in the SKU bar will pop up a full changelog displaying the date, time, and change made to this particular SKU. It's a good way to see when the update was pushed from your inventory system, or when an employee made a change in the platform.

Inventory Options: This section's quantity properties are synced directly with your inventory system. A majority of the time, the inventory displayed is up to the minute. That said, the platform depends on your inventory systems APIs to "Push" updates on their end. Occasionally it takes their system minutes or hours to push new inventory updates. In this case, feel free to do one-time inventory sync via tie data sync icon at the top of this section, which will verify and refresh with the latest availability. If a SKU has relay order capabilities it will display a message at the bottom of the pod.

Category Filter Selections

While these fields are imported initially from your inventory system, they are fully customizable in the platform. Use the drop-downs to deselect, edit, or add categories. Run Free DOES NOT push changes you make to this section back to your inventory system, so you don't have to worry about breaking something. Learn more about Managing Categories.

Manage Item Images

Adding and removing item photos is easy. To add a new image, just tap a blank image plus tile and use your browser's file selector to upload the new image. Removing is easy too, just tap the Red X. Drag and Drop image tiles to reorder.

PRO TIP: Sticking with standard file formats like JPG, JPEG, PNG, and GIF will
ensure visibility in the majority of browsers. Square or cropped photos are best for
consistent positioning. Adhere to white backgrounds for uniformity when possible.
We recommend an image size of 1600px x 1600px to ensure a crisp resolution without slowing load time.

Optional Short Description

You can set an optional short description which appears to the right of the item on the item detail page in your storefront. If you leave this section blank, the Run Free platform will populate the first 293 characters of the description in its place on the item detail page.

Item Description

An item's description can be as detailed as you'd like. Some may feature just a few sentences while others could feature rich content such as bold text, links, photos, or even videos. The platform uses a powerful open source WYSIWYG editor, which allows you to easily format rich content. For more details read up at CKEditor.
