Giving your customers the option of AfterPay, is an easy way to give them another payment option during the checkout process. Run Free's new feature gives Stripe users the ability to turn on/off AfterPay for their customers.

To activate the AfterPay feature, you will login to your Run Free dashboard, click the gear icon on the top right corner, and choose "Store Settings" from the dropdown menu. That will navigate you to a page where you will see a toggle labeled "Allow AfterPay" on the ride side. Click this toggle and it will turn on. That's it! Your customers will now have the ability use AfterPay for their purchases!

When a customer chooses this new option at checkout, AfterPay guides through a series of steps to set up an account and enter their credit card information. Then shows them the breakdown of their purchase. AfterPay is interest-free, and essentially breaks the customer's purchase into four charges to their credit card over time.

The best part is you, the store, get paid the full amount upfront just like any other credit card transaction. The order will show up on your Stripe dashboard, just like any other order, but it will say AfterPay in the order details. If you need to return an item for an AfterPay customer, you will process the return just as you would any other returned order. Issuing a refund in Stripe automatically signals AfterPay to cancel the future payments, and refund the original charge amount. Even better for your account, all payment information is still in Stripe, without the need for separate reconciliation in AfterPay or additional charges.
