If you use LightSpeed POS and the RunFree platform, you can create a custom button in the sales section of LightSpeed to quickly access customer details on RunFree. This can streamline your workflow by linking both platforms seamlessly. Here’s a step-by-step guide to set it up.
Step 1: Navigate to the LightSpeed Back Office
Log in to your LightSpeed Back Office.
Click on the Settings tab in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Create a Custom Button
In the settings menu, locate and select Custom Menus
Click the Menu labelled Register: Sale Tab
Fill in the Title Section under "Add New Button" and click "Add Button To Menu"
Set the Type to Open Web Page
Step 3: Configure the Button
Click the Edit Button in the Buttons List
Step 4: Enter the RunFree Customer URL
In the URL field, input the following:
https://[YOURWEBSTORE]/admin/customer
Replace
[YOURWEBSTORE]
with your actual RunFree store URL.
Step 5: Set the Target Behavior
Look for an option to configure how the URL will open.
Select Open in a New Tab to ensure that clicking the button doesn’t disrupt your workflow in LightSpeed POS.
Step 6: Save and Test
Save the button configuration.
Navigate to the sales section in LightSpeed POS and locate your new button.
Click the button while viewing a customer’s details to ensure it correctly opens the corresponding page in the RunFree platform.
