Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) is a multi-step process that requires users to provide more than just a password to log in.

When admins are logging into Run Free Project they will be required to provide their username and password along with a second form of verification.

Available methods for MFA:

If you are willing to accept full responsibility for the reduced security of your account you can follow these steps to deactivate MFA.

MFA using a one time passcode (OTP code) emailed to the admin email that is attempting to log in.

  1. Enter your admin email and password to log into your Run Free Project site.

  2. Press SEND ME A CODE to email a OTP code to the admin email address entered when logging in in step 1.

  3. Look for verification that the email was sent in the bottom right corner of your login page along with confirmation of what email is receiving the OTP code.

  4. Enter the OTP code into the EMAIL OTP CODE field to complete your login.

MFA OTP codes are good for 15 minutes and be sure to check your spam folder if you are not seeing the email in your inbox.

Deactiving Multi-Factor Authentication

Warning: Deactivating all two-step authentication methods means you will only need to enter your email address and password when logging in. This makes your account more vulnerable to unauthorized access. Two-step authentication is crucial for protecting against security breaches that could lead to malicious activity on your site or exposure of sensitive customer information. By choosing to deactivate this feature, you are fully accepting responsibility for the reduced security of your account.

  1. From the admin area of your Run Free Project site, navigate to the Integrations page.

  2. Select Beta Features in the menu on the left.

  3. Toggle off the 'Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA/2FA)' setting.

  4. Read and click Confirm if you understand the Disable MFA warning. By choosing to deactivate this feature, you are fully accepting responsibility for the reduced security of your account.
