Signing up to be part of Frozen Feet has never been easier. There is no longer a Frozen Feet website or separate registration form at all.

If your running store invited you to track mileage as part of this year's Frozen Feet competition, be sure to read the Mileage section or tap here to skip the instructions on how to check in.

Keep in mind, tracking is optional! You do not have to track miles to participate in Frozen Feet.

Getting Started and Checking in Each Day

All you need to do to participate is follow two simple steps: Download your running store's app, then Tap one button to check-in:

  1. Download your app: Download and register for an account in your running store's app either from the Apple App Store or Google Play. If you have shopped with them online before, you already have an account and can simply sign in using those same credentials.

  2. Tap the button to Check-In: On the day the Frozen Feet competition starts, you will see a new "Frozen Feet" button appear just above the news section inside your running store's app that looks like this:

To participate in Frozen Feet, simply tap that button, ensure today's date is selected, and tap check-in. That's it!

If you don't see the Frozen Feet button in your running store's app, be sure you have updated the app to the latest version on your Apple or Android device and double check with the store to be sure you recall the start/end date correctly.

No registration is needed at all. Checking in for the first day automatically registers you as a Frozen Feet competition participant.

To continue participating each day, simply open your app, tap the Frozen Feet button, select that day's date, and tap check-in. You can also select a previous date in this process and check-in in arrears if you forgot a day. We won't tell anyone.

Tracking Your Mileage (Optional)

If you use the app to check-in to Frozen Feet daily and have also linked the store app to your Strava or Apple Health (a.k.a. Apple Fitness) account, your mileage will be tracked by the running store in addition to your daily check-ins.

Please Note: To track mileage, the activity type must be a run or a walk in order to be synced from Strava or Apple Health (a.k.a. Apple Fitness). You may also enter miles manually by using Strava and adding your run/walk activity there. Step counters, cycling, or any of the dozens of other activity types available will not be counted by the running store's app as mileage.
