As of September 2025, Shops on Facebook and Instagram now use website checkout. If your shop used checkout on Facebook or Instagram, the checkout method has been updated or your shop is invisible.

In this article you will find:

If you're looking to to take action to "fix" a previously set up shop or set up a new shop, you've come to the right place.

While we always try to step you through third-party integrations as much as we can, Meta and Google are notorious for changing their user interface and functionality constantly so it is best to reference their documentation when going through setup to make sure you are following the latest steps.

The product feed to Meta is an add-on that requires the Run Free team to enable a setting for you and cost $5/month. Use the chat feature to ask us to turn on your feed and then you can complete the steps below!

What you need to connect Run Free Project to Facebook & Instagram

To go through the process of connecting RFP and Facebook/ Instagram you will need your product feed URL and your checkout URL.

Product Feed URL

Meta will need a product feed for your Meta Commerce shop. The Product Feed URL for your store is:

https://[YOUR DOMAIN]/api/export/facebook-market.csv

Replace [YourDomain] with your shop's URL, e.g. shop.yoursite.com (or yoursite.com if you host your website on Run Free in addition to your eComm store)

No username or password is required.

Checkout URL

Meta will need a Checkout URL during setup. The Checkout URL for your store is:

https://[YOUR DOMAIN]/cart

Replace [YourDomain] with your shop's URL, e.g. shop.yoursite.com (or yoursite.com if you host your website on Run Free in addition to your eComm store)

Setup a Shop on Facebook & Instagram

Follow the Meta Business Help Center guide on setting up your Facebook and Instagram shop found here: Setup a shop on Facebook and Instagram.

During setup you will use your Product Feed URL and Checkout URL from the section above.

If you have questions about this process, review Meta's documentation first. If you can't find an answer there, feel free to reach out to the Run Free Project support team using the chat box in the bottom right corner of this page (or any page associated with the Run Free Project).
